Critical Questions

 Teacher Tips

This project can become lengthy and difficult if the teacher chooses to include all aspects of a business proposal. Determining the means to acquire property, obtain any necessary permits, and developing a complete marketing plan are advanced-level requirements. Minimum requirements should be designing a building with workflow concepts and a financial plan.

Each student should keep a journal of his or her contributions to the project. The teacher should monitor the journals weekly or biweekly to ensure that each student is contributing to their respective level/assignment.

Sample business plans can be found by searching the web. The business magazines’ and some of the paint manufacturers’ websites offer business plan assistance.
