This site features online virtual manipulatives in English and in Spanish for preK-12 areas of mathematics. When a teacher wants to illustrate a mathematics concept, such as graphing, the meaning of the equal sign, conservation of volume, or the conversion of units, this site will probably have a virtual manipulative that is helpful. Each manipulative contains information for the teacher. The virtual manipulatives are sorted into four grade bands and arranged by the following topics: numbers and operations, measurement, geometry, data, and algebra. A short bit of time is required to understand how each manipulative works. Free, downloadable Java software is required for the manipulatives. (jrs)
