National Standards

Principles and Standards for School Mathematics
The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics provides the Principles and Standards for School Mathematics. The complete standards document is included along with electronic illustrations in each grade band.

National Science Education Standards
The National Academy Press and the National Research Council provide the National Science Education Standards. The complete standards document including the standards for assessment, teaching, professional development, and science content is available online.

Standards for the English Language Arts
The International Reading Association and the National Council of Teachers of English provide the Standards for the English Language Arts. The complete standards document is available online.

Technology Standards for Students

Technology Academic Content Standards
Ohio's Technology Academic Content Standards provide clearly defined statements of what students should know and be able to do as they progress through school.

National Education Technology Standards for Students (Nets*S)
The National Education Technology Standards for Students broadly identify technology skills students should learn and describe how they should be able to use technology. Divided into six categories, these standards provide guidance for educators planning technology-integrated lessons.

Technology Standards for Teachers

Ohio Baseline Standards Framework and Performance Indicators
Using the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers developed by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), a committee representing Ohio institutions and related state agencies developed this set of baseline standards and performance indicators to be used to guide the development of a common set of expectations and experiences for all graduates of Ohio's teacher education programs.

National Education Technology Standards for Teachers (Nets*T)
The National Education Technology Standards for teachers includes six standard areas that define the fundamental concepts, knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for applying technology in educational settings.
