Capstone Portfolios
The catalystOhio Resources Capstone Portfolios have been developed to
provide teacher educators with resources to create project-based methods units
in mathematics, science, and reading. The Capstone portfolios make use of the
Open Source Portfolio (OSP) environment and draw upon the technology, pedagogy,
and content expertise of each developer. Each electronic portfolio developed
for the Capstone project includes a set of annotated online resources related
to a content-specific topic that can be used in a project-based methods unit
that focuses on the integration of technology in instruction.
These e-portfolios offer teacher educators a unique and innovative way to model
the effective integration of technology into instruction without starting from
scratch or being a technology expert. The portfolios can be used as they are
presented, or they can be customized to meet each teacher educator's needs.
