Assessment Strategies
Using technology in the classroom can transform teaching and learning. Technology can also transform assessment. Technology
provides educators with tools to:
- collect, analyze, and manage data;
- access released test items;
- shorten the student-teacher feedback loop;
- offer innovative options for formative and summative assessment;
- improve how assessment results are communicated to students and parents; and
- guide remediation.
In this section of COR, you'll find materials that explore assessment as it relates to technology integration in
three ways: electronic tools for formative and summative assessment, strategies for assessing student learning when it
is demonstrated in an electronic format, and assessment of the effectiveness of the technology integration.
